Referring to the inevitable success of last two years invitations, the IVM-Bridge consultancy Ltd. would like to invite you to apply for the 3rd “The HR team of the Year – 2009” prize.
The aim of the invitation is to award those HR teams who have made the most effort for enhancing the strategic position of the HR function in a given company in 2009.

The starting point of revealing this prize has been the outstanding role of HR capital in the companies’ competitiveness. We’d like to reward those HR team(s) who could realize, and exploit the opportunities behind this basic principle.

This year we would like to pay more attention on the Corporate Social Responsibility (especially the HR role in it) and furthermore we’d like to acknowledge the HR business partnership and HR Innovation as an enhanced performance of HR Team.

THE PROFESSIONAL CONTENT REQUIRED:

I. One page Introduction of the Company applied focusing on the activities, outcomes of 2009 in Hungary. (main business areas, product and service portfolio, employee headcount, market position, public revenue, etc.)

II. 5-6 pages professional content in details of the followings (3 options, choosing one or more):

  1. HR Business Partnership introducing the main efforts of the HR Team for enhancing the strategic HR role in 2009:

    1. how did the HR function participate in the development of the overall corporate strategy (forums, meetings, workshops, decisions, etc) with a special attention of decrease the negative influence of the Global Economic Crisis on business results?
    2. What kind of roles were dedicated to the HR Team through managing HR initiatives in order to increase the customer satisfaction?
    3. what was the detailed content of the HR programs managed by the HR Team in achieving business objectives of 2009?
    4. what was the increase of the acceptance rate and the image of the HR function within the company based on internal satisfaction surveys.

  2. HR innovation, that is about innovative development has been executed by the HR team in 2009:

    1. what kind of new HR systems or solutions were introduced, or programs were realized with the support of Corporate management team?
    2. Did the initiatives mean real breakthrough or unique in the business life of the company or in the HR profession
    3. what was the practice in using best international HR practices in development
    4. what was the acceptance rate of these HR initiatives by the management and employees of the company

    OR

  3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, that is about actions or events were initiated and executed by the company with the active contribution of HR Team in 2009:

    1. what was the HR role dedicated (activities, responsibilities, authorities, etc) in the CSR actions
    2. how was the corporate social responsibilities of the company developed in 2009 as a consequence of HR triggers.
    3. what was the specification and detailed content of the CSR programs elaborated initiated by HR function and how did the HR participate in it.
    4. what was the rate of social acceptance and satisfaction of these CSR programs based on the feedback gaining from surveys and how does it reflected by the business results.
    5. how did the principles of corporate social responsibilities emerge in the HR systems and programs operated (equal opportunities at workplace, provision of disadvantaged geographical areas or disabled people, support of implementation of environmental friendly technologies, etc.)

The submitted essay must be prepared according to above details and must contain quantitative and qualitative figures regarding the results achieved. They are assessed and ranked by a nominated independent committee who will evaluate the professional quality, the confirmation of the results by figures and overall the HR added value reflected by the material submitted. One HR team can submit more essays as well.

Other requirements:
The submitted material must contain the attached „Application Form” completed, 1-page Introduction letter and the 5-6 pages professional essay. There is no opportunities for any amendment.

The deadline for submission: 15 February 2010

The manner of application: We expect to come in all materials in electronic form to the info@ivmbridge.hu address. We will provide written feedback of the incoming materials registered within one day. If you will realized no feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact us immediately in or contact phone numbers.

The announcement of rewards:
The submitted materials must be assessed by an independent professional committee, who will announce the rewarded submissions in 5 March 2010 at the 3rd HR Ball, organized in the Hotel Marriott, Budapest On this event the prominent representatives of HR section, public media are participated.
